Mastercam post processor terms of use

Before using the Mastercam post-processor supplied by Camcut, it is important to carefully read these terms of use. The testing and use of the post-processor are always the sole responsibility of the subscriber. Users should be aware of the disclaimers that apply to Camcut regarding the performance of the post-processor.

Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances is Camcut liable for any direct or indirect damages that may arise from the use of the post-processor. This disclaimer also covers consequential damages, such as loss of business profits, costs due to production downtime, or any other financial losses.

Camcut is not obligated to compensate for damages resulting from the breakage of production equipment, tools, or workpieces, nor for situations where the manufactured product does not meet its technical or quality requirements. Additionally, Camcut is not liable for personal injuries that may result from improper use of the post-processor.

Testing and Safety Instructions

Special caution must always be exercised during the testing phase of the post-processor. Before putting a new post-processor into use, we recommend the following practices to ensure safe and reliable testing:

  • Test the post-processor program first without a workpiece (“dry run”) or by using a separate zero point location. This helps prevent possible errors from causing damage to the machine or materials.
  • Conduct testing at low rapid speeds and/or in single block mode. This allows you to check each line of code individually and makes it easier to detect errors in time.
  • If needed, use NC code-based machine simulation, which shows how the program will behave in practice without the risk of damaging production equipment.

By following these instructions and remembering that responsibility for testing and using the post-processor always lies with the subscriber, risks can be minimized and a safer and more efficient user experience ensured. Care and caution are key in every testing phase.

Camcut recommends that the testing and commissioning of a post-processor be done step-by-step and in a documented manner. If any deviations occur during testing, please contact Camcut’s Mastercam support before starting production use.
