Mastercam Mill 3D Multisurface Pocket Roughing is an older 3D toolpath suitable for rapidly removing material from complex areas. The method uses constant-Z planar movements to remove material layer by layer at defined depth levels. It does not include a separate finishing operation; instead, it is intended to serve as the primary roughing option before finishing operations. This toolpath remains a useful alternative when newer, more advanced toolpaths, such as OptiRough, are unavailable.
