Camcut is growing and expanding its expertise – technical trade in transition
The technical trade sector is undergoing change. Simply having products available or competing on price is no longer enough; machine shops now expect their partners to have a deeper understanding of production, processes, and digitalization. Camcut Group has built its operational model on this development and continues to grow in terms of staff, representation, and service offerings.

With this growth, Camcut has also taken a step onto the international stage. The Camcut Group, established in 2025, and the expansion into Sweden mark a new phase in the company's development. Camcut AB, founded in Sweden, brings Camcut's service concept and operating model to the largest machine shop markets in the Nordics. The goal of this expansion is to scale the expertise and specialist services developed in Finland and to strengthen cooperation with international principals.
Camcut's operating model is based on the idea that technical sales, expert services, and training form a unified whole. Instead of focusing on the delivery of individual products, the goal is to improve customers' productivity and process reliability with concrete solutions—whether in the form of software, tools, or methods.
Organizational Changes and Team Reinforcement to Support Growth
With its growth, Camcut's Finland team has also enhanced its capabilities through new personnel. As part of supporting growth, long-time employee Salla Pesonen has been appointed Camcut's new Administration Manager. This appointment strengthens the company's administrative structures and supports controlled growth as operations expand internationally.
At the beginning of February 2026, Kimmo Keränen joined Camcut as a Technical Salesperson, bringing over 20 years of experience in subcontract machining and Mastercam programming. Throughout his long career, Keränen has worked in a variety of roles, from hands-on machining to methods planning, as well as bridging the gap between shop floor management and administrative work—giving him a broad perspective on the everyday realities of production, planning, and decision-making.
Northern Finland
Based in Kainuu, Keränen is responsible at Camcut not only for tooling and product sales, but also Mastercam support services and customer relationships across a wide area in Northern Finland, stretching from Upper Savo to Northern Ostrobothnia and Lapland. This regional presence supports Camcut's goal of offering customers local, easily accessible, and expert service, where technical sales and practical production support naturally go hand in hand.
Alongside his professional skills, Keränen enjoys a wide variety of endurance sports, such as skiing, trail running, and mountain biking. Depending on the season, his leisure activities also include ice skating and snowmobiling. His diverse approach to physical activity and strong practical background in machining support his solution-focused and long-term approach to customer work. With Keränen on board, Camcut’s expert team is even stronger, and going forward, Camcut will serve its customers nationwide in Finland with a five-person team.
Expertise in New Digital Solutions as Well
Digitalization has long been at the heart of Camcut’s operations. The free mobile app developed by the company has amassed nearly 200,000 downloads worldwide, and the modern online store provides customers with up-to-date pricing and a wide product selection. However, digital channels do not replace expert work—they support it and make Camcut's expertise available to customers anytime and anywhere.
During spring 2026, Camcut will launch a new, more advanced e-commerce platform. This update will allow for the future implementation of AI-based solutions aimed at making it easier to find products, select the right solutions, and improve the overall online shopping experience. At the same time, the amount of support materials on the site will be significantly increased, so customers can access more hands-on information about using products and software directly from the web.
The latest steps in Camcut's digital development include two new partnership agreements. The AI-powered up2parts solution enables automation of quotation calculation, process planning, and CAM programming, all based on the machine shop's own production data. In February, Camcut's team attended a training session in Kuopio, where up2parts GmbH CEO Marco Bauer trained staff on using up2parts and its principles of operation.
up2parts represents a new way of thinking, where a company’s own expertise and historical data form the core of a learning system. As a new addition to Camcut’s lineup, it brings an AI-driven solution to the overall concept, where digital tools, expert services, and practical production development all support each other.

Another of Camcut's new partners is Toolhive, which brings cloud-based tool data management to the daily operations of machine shops. Toolhive centralizes tooling-related information in a single system, directly integrating it with CAM programming and production. This solution enables digital creation of tool assemblies and ensures that programming data matches the actual physical tools used in production. Toolhive can also be integrated with automated tool cabinets, allowing digital tool data and physical tool management to communicate, improving information accuracy and reducing manual work.
Konepaja Trade Fair Brings Together Camcut’s Complete Offering
Camcut will participate in the Konepaja Trade Fair at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Center from March 17–19, 2026. The company's booth, A722, serves as a meeting point to showcase Camcut's expanded portfolio of representations, strengthened expert team, and developing service concept to support machine shop production.
At the booth, you’ll find the latest Walter Tools cutting tool innovations as well as the Walter Toolstation TX750 tool automation system, which enables tool management, storage, and replenishment as part of an efficient and controlled production chain. Other highlights at the booth include SAV’s magnetic clamping solutions, Kemmler Präzisionswerkzeuge tool and 5th Axis workpiece clamping solutions, as well as M.T. S.r.l. turning tool holders.

Of course, Camcut's booth will feature digital solutions as well. On display are the new Mastercam 2026 R2 version, along with Camcut’s latest partners up2parts and Toolhive. Representatives for these solutions will be at Camcut's booth demonstrating how tool management can be seamlessly integrated into daily machine shop operations—from quoting and process planning to tool management, storage automation, and automated CAM programming.
You can schedule a demonstration at the fair in advance to become familiar with new solutions at your own pace. If you’re unable to attend the Konepaja Trade Fair, please contact us to arrange a separate demonstration, either in person or online.
During the exhibition, up2parts GmbH CEO Marco Bauer and Camcut Group CEO Mikko Vepsäläinen will discuss the use of self-learning artificial intelligence in quoting, process planning, and CAM programming for machine shops on the main stage on Wednesday, March 18, at 12:00 pm.
