DN Solutions is a South Korean machine tool manufacturer, previously known as Doosan Machine Tools. The company's roots trace back to 1976, when the production of machine tools for the engineering industry began. The current name, DN Solutions Co., Ltd., was adopted in 2022. The company manufactures CNC lathes, machining centers, and multi-tasking lathes to meet the needs of machine shops and fabrication plants. DN Solutions' machines are widely used for component machining in industries such as automotive, aerospace, energy, IT, and medical device manufacturing.
DN Solutions’ History in the Metalworking Industry
DN Solutions’ development is closely tied to the growth of Korea’s metalworking industry. In the 1980s, the company developed its own NC lathes, and in the 1990s, production volumes and exports increased significantly. During the 2000s, production expanded to China, and the company achieved annual sales in the billion-dollar range. The name was changed to Doosan Machine Tools in 2016 and to DN Solutions in 2022.
The company has organized several international DIMF manufacturing fairs and expanded its production capacity, especially for large machine tools. By 2024, more than 290,000 machines have been delivered worldwide, reflecting its status as a global CNC machine tool manufacturer.

The technology focus areas include high-speed, high-rigidity spindle solutions, thermal compensation, intelligent condition monitoring, and remote diagnostics. Since the 2000s, the company has invested heavily in research and development, maintaining a comprehensive R&D center in Korea. Product development covers NPD, NTD, and NAD processes, which combine new product, technology, and application development based on the production requirements of machine shops.

DN Solutions’ main production facilities are located in Changwon, South Korea (Namsan and Seongju), and Yantai, China. The Seongju plant specializes in large and heavy machine tools, such as large horizontal machining centers and double-column machines.
