up2parts automates the steps in quoting that have traditionally been seen as difficult to digitize. Based on the 3D model and drawings, the system identifies manufacturable features, suggests appropriate process steps, and estimates setup and machining times according to the company’s own production practices. The actual calculation is done in seconds, and the user can refine the suggestions as needed.

More Efficient CAM Programming
up2parts supports CAM programming by analyzing part geometry, PMI (also from 2D PDF drawings), and the company’s own machining methods. The system automatically generates suggestions for setups, machining operations, tools, and cutting parameters, and transfers them directly to the CAM system in use, such as Mastercam, Gibbscam, or HyperMILL. This significantly reduces manual and repetitive programming tasks.
Automation does not replace the programmer’s expertise, but supports it by eliminating routine tasks and improving program consistency. This is especially beneficial in finishing steps, where it enhances quality and reduces the risk of errors.
